This program provides the amino acids your dog may not be able to synthesize plus adds amino acids to assist with that process. You'll be giving the co-factors needed to utilize the amino acids--those are B-vitamins and minerals. If you cannot get KAL brand, any brand chelated mineral complex with trace minerals is good. Other nutrients are for building collagen and cartilage, producing synovial fluid; some are anti-inflammatory which will help with current inflammatory processes and help prevent arthritic calcification. Some are for muscle building.

Continue with exercise as much as can be tolerated. Feed high quality protein that is easy to digest like cheese, eggs, chicken, turkey, fresh cooked beef, organ meats like heart and kidney.
